چکیده

The urban microclimate is gradually changing due to climate change, extreme weather conditions, urbanization, and the heat island effect. In such an altered environment, outdoor thermal comfort can have a strong impact on public health quality of life in areas. this study, three main areas Serbia were selected: Belgrade (Central Serbia), Novi Sad (Northern Niš (Southern Serbia). focus was temporal assessment OTC, using UTCI over period 20 years (1999–2018) during different seasons. aim general estimation OTC Belgrade, Sad, Niš, order gain better insight into bioclimatic condition, current trends anomalies that occurred. analysis conducted based hourly (7 h, 14 21 h CET) “day by day” meteorological data set. Findings show presence growing trend seasonal anomalies, especially summer spring. addition, there notable increase number days above defined thresholds for each season. Average annual UTCIs values also positive, rising trend, ranging from 0.50 °C 1.33 °C. most significant deviations average values, both annual, recorded 2000, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018.

Thermal Comfort in Outdoor Urban Spaces: analysis across different European countries

This paper presents some of the findings of the European project, RUROS, primarily concerned with the environmental and comfort conditions of open spaces in cities. The results of the microclimatic and human monitoring, in relation to the thermal environment and comfort conditions in open spaces are presented. The database consists of nearly 10,000 from field surveys in 14 different case study ...

Thermal comfort assessment in comfort-prone workplaces.

This paper's main issue is a strong advocacy in favour of an a priori classification of thermal environments that can be really functional to comfort assessment: Class 1, environments where comfort conditions can be established (comfort-prone environments), and Class 2, environments where this is not practically feasible. The former, which are also identified here as 'thermally unconstrained' e...

Use of Becker and neurotic pressure bioclimatic indices in the Assessment of Thermal Comfort in Outdoor Environments based on Meteorological Data: Case Study in Three Different Climates of Iran

Background and aims: lack of thermal comfort in outdoor environments, can cause disorders and diseases, negative impact on productivity and performance, and even can cause death. Therefore, it is important to evaluate it. Various indices and models have been used to assess the level of comfort of humans. In most evaluations has been tried to estimate the comfort level using meteorological data ...

Psychological and physical impact of urban green spaces on outdoor thermal comfort during summertime in The Netherlands

Green infrastructure can improve thermal comfort in outdoor urban spaces in moderate climates. The impact of green spaces on thermal comfort is often exclusively investigated through meteorological variables and human-biometeorological indices. Yet, studies on perceived thermal comfort are scarce. As thermal comfort is a property of human perception of the thermal environment, this knowledge is...

Outdoor thermal comfort and urban design in warm-humid Guayaquil, Ecuador

Deteriorated urban microclimate and poor outdoor thermal comfort is an increasing problem in cities in the tropics due to the combined effect of urban and global warming. Microclimate measurements (wind speed, air temperature and humidity, and globe temperature) were carried out in different parts of the warm-humid city Guayaquil, Ecuador. Simultaneously about 400 persons were asked for their s...
